The need for access to computers and the internet
seems to increase every day! Transitions has
responded to this trend by installing computer labs
at Women's Hearth, Miryam's House and the
Transitional Living Center. These computers are
used for all of the following activities:
The lab at Women's Hearth consists of nine machines with internet access. The software installed on these machines includes Microsoft Office 2003 (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher), Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing, Photoshop and various games. Lab monitors are always on duty to assist users with any problems they encounter. Resources include a laser printer, an inkjet printer for color printing, and a full-page scanner. Free CDs are available for storing files.
The lab at Transitional Housing Center has six workstations, two printers and a scanner.
The lab at Miryam's House has four workstations and a laser printer.
