Women's Hearth awarded $20,500 from an anonymous fund at Innovia Foundation

Women's Hearth has been awarded $20,500 from an anonymous fund at Innovia Foundation; funds will be used to buy and install solar panels at the Women's Hearth facility. Using solar panels supports Transitions' strategic plans to reduce costs and support program sustainability to pursue our mission of working to end poverty and homelessness for women and children in Spokane. Converting to solar supports our commitment to environmental sustainability as well.

The Women's Hearth provides a one-of-a-kind downtown day drop-in center for women, offering community, activities, social service referrals and classes. Services offered include access to phones, computers, healthy food, hygiene supplies, free showers, and a medical respite room.

Innovia Foundation is a community foundation that connects donor generosity to our regions' most pressing causes. Find out more on their website here: https://innovia.org/
