Women's Hearth receives $7,000 grant from The Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation

Transitions is very grateful for being selected to receive $7,000 from The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation to support Women's Hearth services offering marginalized women off-the-street safety, improved hygiene, access to the food bank, assistance in connecting with needed social and health services, and a supportive community. These services increase participants' health and housing stability.

Here's a sneak peek of a typical food bank day at the Women’s Hearth (serving an average of 150 participants each day) including food and supplies distribution, stocking the kitchen, gathering data, and engaging participants.

Thank you to The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation for sharing the human impact of your investment in Transitions’ Women’s Hearth work to improve women’s lives.
