Transitions for Women

February ART WALK at Women's HeARTh

  - February 8, 2011

On Friday February 4, Art Walk included a stop at the Women's Hearth where Hearth community members displayed their creative talents in a wide array of media, including sculpture, jewelry-making, painting, collage, knitting, crocheting, and photography. Art Walkers visited throughout the evening and were treated to delicious healthy treats prepared by Hearth members.  Long-time Hearth community members often link their personal healing from issues like trauma and addiction to the creative expression that is encouraged at Women's Hearth.  Art Walk presents a wonderful opportunity to display the talents and hard work of the Hearth community and to honor the courage and commitment of their creative spirits.

Art at the HeARTh included painting, and

Knitting, crocheting and collage, and

even some education by Gloria Bost on creating a worm colony for an organic garden (below)
