Miryam's Ladies get makeovers... live on KHQ

   The KHQ news team stopped by Blades on Saturday to feature four women from Miryam's House receive makeovers to start their holiday season with a new look! Transitions was featured twice on the morning show: once to kick off the beginning of the show to get "before" shots and to interview Executive Director Dia Maurer, explaining Transitions programs, and came back a second time towards the end of the show to catch the ladies wonderful new looks to match the personal progress they have made at Miryam's. Miryam's House Director Diane Critchlow commented, saying that Saturday "was really great for their self-esteem."

   The makeovers were provided by Blades and new professional clothes were provided by Our Sister's Closet, another Spokane nonprofit (associated with the YWCA), that works to connect resources for low-income women in the community looking for work and job training.
