At-risk Children
This is defined as children that have a high risk of abuse and neglect and often exhibit the symptoms associated with diagnosable social-emotional disorders of early childhood. These are children that may have experienced trauma of some sort in the past and because of environmental factors are at risk of being harmed again. Many are involved with Child Protective Services and are reunifying with their parents after varying periods of separation.
